PostSubject: A substitute for AE?   Tue May 16, 2017 2:15 am

I've been a fan of Non/Disney editing for a while now and I want to start doing it just for fun, problem is that I'm a 15 teen-year-old who can't work as 1) I'm too young for a 'work permit' (something required in my state in order to get a job I guess) and 2) the more 'traditional' teenager jobs like babysitting, mowing lawns, and stuff like that aren't possible as I live in the middle of nowhere and it takes a good 30 minute drive into town. With this, I'm looking for a program similar to After Effects in things like masking and manips. I've tried finding 'free copycat programs' but they mostly direct me to 3d software. Any have suggestions on substitute I could try?
